This beach is considered the most popular beach due to its nearness to the population. La Puntilla Beach borders Dunas de San Antón Metropolitan Park, a wide forest area traditionally used for leisure. This park has its origin in the pine trees that were planted at the beginning of the twentieh century to fix the dunes and prevent them from advancing on cultivable fields and the town.
You can enjoy some unique sunsets in "El Castillito", one of the six old coastal batteries built after the looting of the Anglo-Dutch troops in 1702 during the War of Succession.
This is the nearest beach to the city center. This is the first beach to be found on the right bank of Guadalete River. You can acces to it by walking by the river until its mouth or along Camino de los Enamorados Avenue while you enjoy the view of the pine forests.
It has adapted entrances and toilets as well as first-aid and rescue services.
